Three Rivers Community Band Festival
Saturday, March 30, 2019 -
2:00pm to 5:00pm
We have been invited to perform at the Sixteenth Annual Three Rivers Community Band Festival in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. The concert opens at 2 pm, but the performance order has not been determined yet.
The festival will feature performances by four ensembles: Canfield Community Concert Band, Community Band South, East Winds Symphonic Band, and a unique Festival Band that will assemble for this concert.
The Festival Band is made up of players from community bands around the region and lead by a guest conductor. Participation in the Festival Band is open to all without audition and is intended to bring together musicians from a wide variety of community ensembles. The guest conductor of the Festival Band this year will be Christopher Nichter, Director of Bearcat Bands at the University of Cincinnati. Anyone interested in participating in the festival band must register by Feb 10th and pay a fee of $25, which covers lunch and music costs. Participants must attend a morning rehearsal on the day of the festival. Complete details and the registration form are available here.
Please note that participation in the Festival Band is optional and is a separate performance from CCCB's performance. CCCB members are expected to be there for our afternoon performance, but registration and the morning rehearsal are only required if you are separately participating in the Festival Band.
Travel information, arrival times, and other logistical details will be posted here closer to the event date.
